At Embrace Home Housing, community support helps create safer, more stable living environments for adults experiencing housing instability, recovery transitions, re-entry challenges, disability-related barriers, and other life disruptions. Sometimes at move-in participants have exhausted all of their funds getting into housing.

Every contribution directly supports real people transitioning toward stability, independence, and long-term success.

  • Transportation support

  • Bedding and move-in essentials

  • Participant stabilization services

  • Outreach and intake coordination

  • Gently used/New twin mattresses and mattress covers

  • Blankets, pillows and comforters

  • Sheet sets

  • Sterilite drawer containers

  • Dressers and nightstands

  • Lamps

  • Towels and washcloths

  • Shower curtains

  • Hygiene products

  • Toilet paper

  • Cleaning supplies

  • Pots and pans

  • Plates and bowls

  • Silverware

  • Laptops

  • Tablets

  • Bus passes

  • Laundry detergent

  • Paper towels

  • Trash bags

  • Dish soap

  • Cleaning wipes

  • Toiletries

  • Grocery support

  • Storage bins

  • New socks and undergarments

Embrace Home Housing provides supportive and transitional housing with coordinated services for adults in Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Williamsburg, and Yorktown, Virginia. The program combines stable, community-based housing with structured support designed to promote independence, personal growth, and long-term stability, giving adults a true second chance at housing in Virginia.
